Our journey began back in 2018. Our founders, Bram Corne and Bram Vervisch, crossed paths at the University of Ghent's Kortrijk campus while completing their PhDs. With Bram Corne specializing in stator currents and Bram Vervisch in rotor dynamics, they discovered a shared fascination for unraveling machine failures by interpreting physical signals.
Spending time on the factory floor, they noticed a frustrating reality: machines frequently failed prematurely, and business assets rarely reached their intended lifespan. Although the maintenance market was heavily embracing 'Industry 4.0' and collecting endless streams of sensor data, it became clear that having more information doesn't automatically solve machine problems. The industry needed profound insights, not just raw data.
ORBITS was established to bridge that gap between academic theory and everyday practice. Fast forward to today, and we are no longer just two engineers with a vision. ORBITS has grown into a dedicated team, with Jo, Stan, Sarab, and Tim bringing their own unique strengths to the table. Together, we combine our multidisciplinary machine knowledge with deep expertise in signal analysis and diagnostics.
We strongly believe that every single machine should perform at 100% of its designed lifespan, and even beyond. Imagine the enormous amount of time and resources that could be saved, and the massive positive impact on our environment if this were the norm.
That’s what drives us every single day—transforming hard facts into proactive solutions to increase the reliability of your rotating assets. We look forward to helping your machines reach their full potential!
