While traditional grounding using thick, green-yellow wires is perfect for human safety, it is fundamentally failing our electric motors. Standard protective earth (PE) cables actually create a high-impedance bottleneck for the high-frequency noise generated by variable frequency drives. Because of the "skin effect," these high-frequency currents avoid the core of thick conductors and end up discharging directly through the motor's sensitive bearings instead. To prevent premature mechanical failure, we must rethink our methodology and establish a specialized, low-impedance pathway using highly conductive, large-surface-area materials like braided earthing tape.
